1. African Lion’s Safari

2. Christie Lake Conservation Area

For a more relaxed day trip, consider visiting Christie Lake Conservation Area, located in nearby Dundas.

From biking and hiking to swimming, fishing, boating and more, Christie Lake offers a beautiful lake setting. Be sure to pack a picnic to enjoy this day trip with your family and friends truly!

3. Gulliver’s Lake RV Resort and Campground

As one of Southern Ontario’s top campgrounds, Gulliver’s Lake (located just outside Waterdown in Puslinch) is a seasonal park that is a true natural wonder.

Located on an old quarry site, there is a large swimming area that offers kayak and paddleboat rentals. Covered pavilions, a picnic area and beach access, provide a wonderful environment for the whole family to enjoy.

Although only long-term camping is available, day trippers can enjoy the park throughout the day.

4. Wild Waterworks

Located in Hamilton at Confederation Beach Park, Wild Waterworks offers summer fun for all ages!

From six exciting water slides to one of Canada’s largest wave pools, there’s plenty of excitement to be had!

If you’re looking for something a little more subdued, check out the park’s Easy River, where you can enjoy a relaxing float.

For small children, the Little Squirt Works area provides a safe water experience.

5. Hamilton Bayfront

The Bayfront area in Hamilton offers plenty of attractions to keep you and your family busy for the whole day.

Begin your day by taking a nice walk around on the Waterfront Trail or take a trolley ride. A kids’ play area located in nearby Pier 4 Park offers a small, man-made beach offering plenty of swimming and recreational activities

Before heading home, make sure you enjoy a famous Hutch’s ice cream cone!
