Careers in the automotive industry can be highly rewarding, offering a number of unique challenges. Many people however, would prefer to work in a mid-sized family-owned business rather fighting to earn seniority in a large plant or to working in isolation in a tiny one or two person shop. If you’re looking for a true team environment where you won’t get lost in the crowd; enjoy working in the automotive sector; and have a passion for providing unsurpassed customer service, then we want to hear from you for employment at Waterdown Collision!
A bit about Waterdown Collision and our culture
Waterdown Collision was founded by the DiFelice family in 1974. As immigrants to this country, they believed Canada was “a country of opportunities”. But they didn’t stop at creating opportunities for themselves. Today the company offers a variety of opportunities to those who wish to work in the automotive sector.
While each of us has our own role to play in the company, together we are a strong team. We value quality workmanship, taking care of our customers, and mutual respect and comradery amongst ourselves.
What employment positions do we offer and what are the requirements?
Clearly, our automotive technicians comprise the largest part of our team, but business also consists of tow truck drivers, customer service representatives, estimators and accountants.
You’ll need all the relevant training and certifications of course for the job that you apply to, but it’s also important that you know how to provide a great customer experience. Remember, customers who come to an auto body shop generally do not do so under the happiest of circumstances. It’s our job to make them feel like they are being well taken care of!
Ideally, we like to hire candidates looking for a place where they can build their careers over the long term. Ongoing training is regularly provided to our employees and those who have the ambition to advance in position are encouraged and groomed to do so whenever possible.
Why work with Waterdown Collision?
To foster a productive and positive environment, we believe that taking care of our team is as important as taking care of our customers.
There are so many advantages to working with our team. In addition to getting to serve a lot of great customers and (for our technician) the opportunity to work on a wide variety of vehicles, Waterdown Collision offers its employees a number of perks and benefits including:
- Competitive salary and bonus structure.
- Group insurance coverage and Retirement Savings Plan upon eligibility
- State of the art equipment (technicians are assigned their own set of tools)
